The Adani Group will invest Rs 3,500 crore to establish two major projects in Madhya Pradesh, further expanding its presence in the state. Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ, made the announcement at an industry conclave in Gwalior.
The new projects include a two million tonne per annum cement grinding unit in Guna and a propellant production plant in Shivpuri, both of which are expected to create more than 3,500 jobs, directly and indirectly.
This investment builds on the Adani Group's existing financial commitments in Madhya Pradesh, where the conglomerate has already invested over Rs 18,000 crore across various sectors, including cement, defense, road infrastructure, thermal power, renewable energy, and transmission.
In addition to the projects in Madhya Pradesh, the Adani Group’s Ambuja Cement recently announced the establishment of a six million tonne per annum grinding unit in Warisaliganj, Bihar, with an investment of Rs 1,600 crore. This expansion is part of Adani Cement’s broader strategy to increase its production capacity from the current 80 million tonne to 140 million tonne by 2028.
