Navneet Rana, an independent MP from Amravati, has given an open challenge to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. She said that she will go to Matoshree and read Hanuman Chalisa. He should put all his strength to stop her and show it by stopping. She said emphasising that if Uddhav Thackeray does not read Hanuman Chalisa today, then she will go to Matoshree and read it.
She further said that Uddhav Thackeray is afraid that if he reads Hanuman Chalisa, then only one party will be out of Mahavikas Aghadi.
Today Hanuman Chalisa has been organised at Navneet Rana's house in Amravati. The Shiv Sena members (Shiv Sainiks) were enraged by Navneet Rana's challenge to visit Uddhav Thackeray's residence Matoshree and read Hanuman Chalisa. They have gathered outside Matoshree in large numbers raising slogans against Navneet Rana.
Navneet Rana said, "Yesterday three or four people of Shiv Sena came outside my house. If he had told earlier, I would have made good arrangements for him. I am the MP here. He would arrange for tea and drink and a door for sitting. But I have a question. The whole country knows that I read Hanuman Chalisa. My question is to Uddhav Thackeray. Shivsena was born with the idea of Hindutva and the Hindutva for which Balasaheb Thackeray worked till his last breath, today that idea is alive on Matoshree or not."
She further said, "My question is whether he (Uddhav Thackeray) will read Hanuman Chalisa on Hanuman Jayanti today or not. If he doesn't read, the people of Maharashtra will see it as his views have changed. Or is there pressure on them from the parties involved in Maha Vikas Aghadi. Is it not that if he read Hanuman Chalisa, then some party will get out of Mahavikas Aghadi.
Has Uddhav Thackeray got greedy for the post? I am a girl from Mumbai. Vidarbha's strength is behind me. No one can stop me from going to Mumbai. If he (Uddhav) did not read Hanuman Chalisa, then I would go to Matoshree and read Hanuman Chalisa. He should tell me the date on which day he has to come. They should put their entire government machinery and stop me."
