MetLife, an American Fortune 500 company and the world's largest provider of insurance and financial services, is set to mark its presence in Hyderabad through the establishment of a substantial global capability centre (GCC).
As part of his US tour, Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and his delegation held a meeting with senior executives of MetLife at the company's global headquarters in New York.
This strategic investment is poised to further fortify the city's robust standing in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The Telangana government has demonstrated a firm commitment to bolstering the BFSI domain, exemplified by initiatives like the recent establishment of the BFSI Forum.
This proactive approach underscores the aim of ensuring sustainable sectoral growth, fostering an enabling atmosphere for global industry leaders to flourish. Minister KTR expressed his anticipation regarding MetLife's choice to establish a GCC in Hyderabad, affirming the state's vision to position Telangana as a preferred hub for the BFSI sector. The Minister also shared his enduring fascination with MetLife's prominent building in New York City's midtown, which forms a significant part of the iconic skyline.
