Attacks on businesses and government in India have doubled in the past three years. In 2021, India recorded well over 3,000 victims of cybercrimes. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Indian organisations have witnessed a 4,000 per cent increase in the number of phishing emails, according to the reports.
Cyberattack activity has driven Indian cyber security services and products to USD 9.85 billion in revenue in 2021. The cybersecurity products industry grew from USD 740 million in 2019 to USD 1.37 billion in 2021.
Along this line, Community Heritage, a subsidiary of the Heritage Group of Companies, has developed an app called My Association App.
The app, launched by Gagan Goswami, the Chief Managing Director of Heritage Group of Companies, brings organisations on one platform in order to help people build connectivity amongst themselves, keeping in mind the increasing threat to the cyber world. The app, which has been hosted for both android and iOs, is live now.
Dhruv Pandit, a Heritage Group of Companies partner, said, “We hope that all the members of CAPSI will be able to engage with each other through this app. Until today, we used to communicate through platforms like WhatsApp. Given the fact that there’s a sudden rise in the number of cybercrimes using social media platforms, personal data is at a higher risk of getting breached. This app ensures the security of our data.”
Pandit further said that this application has an in-built version of social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook.
He said, “In this app, no member needs to send or accept requests to or from another. The members of the app automatically appear on the Facebook portal of this app. Just like Facebook, the members can engage with each other.”
Moreover, the app has extra WhatsApp features, such as live geofencing, which help the members engage better with the community. Furthermore, the members can share information about events, share circulars, send notifications, etc. via the app without putting the data shared through the app at risk of theft, he claimed.
“We expect that this platform will boost businesses, especially those in the arena of B2B. Security is of paramount importance to us. No member from outside of the CAPSI can register themselves into the app. No outsider can access our information,” Pandit said.
