Appointment Committee Approves Vumlunmang Vualnam As New Secretary Of Civil Aviation

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of several bureaucrats in several ministries and departments as part of a significant bureaucratic reorganisation

Vumlunmang Vualnam took over as Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on Friday as Rajiv Bansal, a senior IAS officer, retired on Thursday after reaching retirement.

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of several bureaucrats in several ministries and departments as part of a significant bureaucratic reorganisation.

The Bihar-cadre IAS officer Chanchal Kumar, who is currently an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, had been assigned to the position under a prior order that the ACC had changed.

The most recent order states that Kumar has been chosen to succeed Tripura-cadre 1989-batch IAS officer Lok Ranjan as secretary in the Ministry of Development of the Northeastern Region after Lok's appointment as an administrative member of the Central Administrative Tribunal.

According to the order, Neeraj Mittal, an IAS officer from the Tamil Nadu cadre who is currently serving in the cadre, has been named secretary of the Department of Telecommunications.
