‘A…Aa’ has attained a massive three day collection of more than Rs 25 crore in India and overseas. Its first day collection (in India) was Rs 4.50 crore, and the second day, Friday saw it a rise up to Rs 4.90 crore and last but not the least, its third day collection fetched it more than 5.60 crore. Even the overseas collections sore up, making the total figures from Wednesday preview show and Thursday around Rs 4.91 crore.
Fortunately, the movie seems get some boost from the excitement among the audience due to the initial delay of the project and the promos launched off lately. Apart from the good reviews from critics and film analysts on its excellent marketing of the soundtrack and the screenplay, it has en-cashed a lot by word of mouth. The occupancy average in theaters of India and overseas has been good especially in United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The trio, Trivikram Srinivas, Nithin, and Samantha have a decent fan following in some international markets.
Interestingly, producer S. Radha Krishna had sold rights of the film to Blue Sky Cinemas even before the shooting for the movie had begun. The cinema chain which is one of the leading players in overseas market for Indian movies bought the rights for the film early in November 2015, for Rs 4.7 crore. Thus, even the response abroad has been overwhelming. The Blue Sky team made grand arrangements for its premiere shows, especially North America. The movie witnessed a premiere in 130 screens across U.S. and the Telugu flick achieved a fabulous collection on its 1st Weekend.
Its opening day box office report amounted close to $266,729 crore (in US) and consequently, it earned around is $214,184 on the second day. The third day which was nearly $560,945 (Approx.). This together contributed towards making this movie a high-gross earner, after biggest Telegu hits like ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’, ‘Bhramhostavam’ and ‘Nannaku Prematho’. Its rock steady collections after the three days have pushed its collection well beyond the $1million mark in US.
Leading Indian trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted "Telugu film #AAaMovie continues its WINNING STREAK in USA... Does OUTSTANDING biz on Fri, despite midweek [Wed] release." He added, "Telugu film #AAaMovie is F-A-N-T-A-B-U-L-O-U-S in USA... Wed+Thu $ 495,639, Fri $ 362,021. Total: $ 857,660"
