Xiaomi’s latest smartphones Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro recently went on sale for first time in India. After the sale, Xiaomi has announced that more than 3 lakh smartphones were sold within three minutes after commencement of the sale. The flash sale was conducted on 22 February Flipkart and Mi.com.
Xiaomi also launched Mi TV 4 along with the two smartphones, which was sold out in ten seconds.
Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP, Xiaomi announced on twitter “#RedmiNote5 & #RedmiNote5Pro: we sold 3L+ units in <3 mins. This means 1L+ phones/min! After the amazing success of Redmi Note 4, we had put in a lot of effort to increase supply of Redmi Note 5. This was the biggest ever sale in India!”
The next sale for Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will be conducted on 28 February while Mi TV 4 will be available on 27 February.
Redmi Note 5, the successor of their best-selling smartphone Redmi Note 4 in India comes in two RAM+Storage variants of 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB which are aggressively priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively.
The pro version- Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes in two RAM+Storage variants of 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB which are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.
