Chinese electronics brand Huawei has launched new smartphone Huawei Nova 3i in China. Along with the launch, the price and availability of Huawei Nova 3 (launched earlier this month) were also revealed.
The main highlight of the new smartphone is four cameras which includes dual front cameras with 3D face recognition and dual rear cameras along with GPU Turbo for fast gaming experience.
Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Price and Availability
Huawei Nova 3 is available in Black, Blue, Purple and Gold colours with price starting from CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 30,602) for 128GB storage variant. It will be available in China from July 19.
Huawei Nova 3i is available in Black, White and Purple with two RAM+storage configuration. The price of the handset is fixed at CNY 1999 (approx. Rs. 20,398) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and CNY 2199 (approx. Rs. 22,439) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model.
The earlier poster launched by Huawei, confirms Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i to be on sale in India on July 26 as Amazon exclusive. According to the teaser posted on the official twitter handle, the hashtag #Coming4You!" highlights 4 cameras in the smartphone that is coming to India. Furthermore, Huawei confirmed the new handset to be India’s first GPU Turbo featured model and has 3D Animoji feature.

Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i Specifications
Both Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Nova 3 is powered by Huawei’s flagship HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB RAM, while Nova 3i is equipped with Kirin 710 octa core processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM.
Talking about the display, both Huawei phones feature a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Also, the Nova 3 duo have fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear side alongside the camera and the screen has face unlock system for unlocking the handset.
Though both handsets sport vertically aligned dual camera setup at rear but the differences among the two are major.
Huawei Nova 3 has 24-megapixels+16-megapixels rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, HDR and panorama. On the other hand, Nova 3i has 16-megapixels+2-megapixels rear camera with PDAF, LED flash, HDR and panorama.
The rear cameras of both Nova phones’ cameras are backed by Artificial Intelligence which automatically optimizes the photos by recognizing more than 500 different scenarios in 22 categories- which is similar to Honor 10's AI feature.
Another similarity between two handsets is the dual-front camera of 24megapixels+2megapixels; both with f/2.0 aperture, AI smart technology and 3D face recognition.
Huawei Nova 3 is backed by a 3,750mAh battery which the company claims can deliver 22 hours of talk time. Whereas Nova 3i has a 3,340mAh battery which can deliver up to 21 hours of talk time. Connectivity option for the new handsets include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Radio, USB 2.0, 4G VoLTE and 3.5mm headphone jack.
