YES Bank has recently announced key leadership appointments in India. Manish Jain has joined as the country head of wholesale banking, while Pankaj Sharma has assumed the role of chief strategy and transformation officer.
Manish Jain, a highly experienced banking professional, is tasked with leading YES Bank's wholesale banking division. This encompasses a broad spectrum of the bank's operations, including serving large corporate clients, handling investment banking, project finance, loan syndication, emerging local corporates, transaction banking, and institutional and government banking.
Jain brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously held roles at Standard Chartered Bank, where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of CCIB Client Coverage in India and Corporates in South Asia. He has also worked at organisations such as Ernst & Young Consulting India, GE India and Maruti Suzuki in various capacities.
Pankaj Sharma, a seasoned banking professional with over 25 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry, has been appointed as the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. In this role, Sharma will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to translate the bank's strategy into actionable transformation activities and initiatives. His mandate includes developing a well-defined roadmap to help the bank achieve its strategic and financial objectives.
