We Are Bringing The Intelligence To The Users And Making Work Easier: Dell Technologies
Addressing everyone through a virtual session at Dell Technologies Forum India 2022, Dell Technologies’ Gopi Manapragada spoke about the company’s Artificial Intelligence innovations that are reimagining the way its customers work.
Speaking on Dell Technologies’ customers being in various stages of embracing hybrid work environment Gopi Manapragada, Director of Client Product Group, Software and Experiences, Dell Technologies noted that one thing that was common with customers across the board was they wanted the work productivity to be similar to how it was prior to the hybrid work environment.
To address this issue, the company has its Dell Optimizer, a software application that intelligently and dynamically optimises the performance of your computer by using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). It is designed to automatically improve application performance, battery run-time, audio settings and privacy. All this happens in the background while people are working.
“Our Intelligent Privacy feature in Dell Optimizer allows customers to log in quickly, which helps them to get to the system as fast as they want and start working. Meanwhile, our Intelligent Audio feature allows you to be productive no matter where you are located at. This is the foundational element where we want to move from a long-term strategy of the process of creating/adding AI into the product to enhance the experience for our customers,” said Manapragada.
He also introduced Dell Optimizer’s two new features as his favourites:
Presence Detect function: It allows users to not just log-in faster at workplace, it also notifies the user of an onlooker in a noisy environment. This will lock the system as soon as the user walks away from the system and wake when the user is back at the system.
Collaboration Trackpad: This allows users to control mic on/off, camera on/off and screen share through a click of a button on the trackpad. This allows users to switch between whatever they are working on to get back on a Zoom/Teams call when it’s their turn to speak.
“We are bringing the intelligence to the users and making work easier,” he added.
Speaking exclusively to BW Businessworld, Indrajit Belgundi, Senior Director and General Manager, Client Solutions Group, Dell Technologies, India, said, “Our new line of offerings/devices through the innovative technology portfolio, which we have come up with will enable customers and team members to simplify their overall requirements and lead the future of work while delivering the best employee experience.”
For the IT teams, Dell has come up with various offerings for remote mediation, automation, and some actionable recommendations. This will help organisations support their team members better and also overall offering.
