The government of Telangana on Monday reported a 31.44 per cent increase in the export of information technology (IT) and information technology-enabled services (ITeS) for FY 2022-2023.
The growth stood at Rs 2,41,275 crore this year against Rs 1,83,569 crore during the last fiscal.
The state government in its report stated, "Telangana has witnessed a remarkable increase in IT and ITeS exports, reaching a staggering Rs 2,41,275 crore during the financial year 2022-2023. An astounding growth of 31.44 per cent in comparison to the last financial year."
It further underlined the surge of Rs 57,706 crore in the fiscal year 2022-2023 as the highest annual rise since the formation of the state.
Commenting on the export numbers Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao said, Telangana has stood stronger by not only maintaining the growth but also surpassing the national average growth.
According to a report, Telangana has successfully added 1,27,594 new jobs during the financial year 2022-2023, bringing the total IT and ITeS employment to 9,05,715, representing an impressive year-on-year (YoY) increase of 16.29 per cent against FY 2021-2022.
