Tata Communications on Thursday announced a transformative upgrade to its AI cloud infrastructure, powered by Nvidia Hopper GPUs. This partnership will position Tata Communications as an important enabler of AI applications across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and banking, equipping businesses with the necessary computing power to manage complex AI workloads.
As part of this initiative, Tata Communications plans to integrate Nvidia’s advanced software solutions, such as NIM microservices, Omniverse, and Isaac platforms, into its AI cloud offerings. These technologies will provide a comprehensive suite of tools and services designed to facilitate AI-driven simulation and automation for enterprises.
The first phase of this large-scale deployment is set to commence by the end of 2024, establishing one of the largest Nvidia Hopper GPU-based cloud supercomputers in India. A second phase is scheduled for 2025, which will incorporate Blackwell GPUs, further expanding the infrastructure.
The upgrade includes the launch of an AI studio, an innovative all-in-one platform designed to revolutionise business engagement with AI. This platform will feature tools like AI Workbench, Model Garden, Responsible AI, and serverless functions, streamlining the process for companies looking to leverage AI technologies effectively. Additionally, Tata Communications' IZO Multi Cloud Connect platform will enable efficient distributed data management, allowing enterprises to curate and move data seamlessly to the AI Cloud.
