Star Health and Allied Insurance reported a 34 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 125 crore for the September quarter. This marked a significant growth compared to the previous year when the standalone health insurer posted a net profit of Rs 93 crore.
According to a regulatory filing by Star Health, the company's total income in the second quarter of the current fiscal soared to Rs 3,357 crore, a substantial rise from the Rs 2,918 crore reported in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Furthermore, the gross written premium for the quarter also witnessed a significant increase, reaching Rs 3,732 crore, as compared to Rs 3,193 crore in the same period the year before. This financial performance underscores the company's continued growth and strong performance in the health insurance sector.
