Audio streaming service Spotify is reportedly testing new features like the short video-making platform TikTok, allowing users to remix songs by artists of their choice, according to a media report on Monday.
The report adds that the discussion regarding this new development is underway and licensing agreements are to be worked out.
Additionally, the company is working on several features like a playlist tuner and one special feature that would allow users to flex their DJ skills using different transition styles to create the ultimate mix.
Spotify’s other tool will allow users to set the ‘tempo range’ and ‘vibe’ for their mix by filtering songs by genre, mood, activity and more.
The company is also looking to target the users who had missed the opportunity of mixing songs with its old features that used to automatically reorder their mix by sequencing tracks with a similar key, tempo and style together. The features were meant to set or mix users' orders manually or automatically with Spotify’s sequence.
Spotify's latest feature will pay artists for their songs while users get to alter their favourite songs as per their preferences in a more seamless manner.
