Sennheiser Unveils Momentum Sport Earbuds For Fitness Enthusiasts

Sennheiser has introduced the MOMENTUM Sport earbuds, its most recent audio technology breakthrough for sports and fitness enthusiasts. Building on the success of their renowned MOMENTUM line, these new earbuds are meant to give Sennheiser's signature high-quality sound while also providing vital insights into users' workouts using cutting-edge biometric sensors, according to the brand.

The earbuds include powerful in-ear sensors that measure both heart rate and body temperature in real time. This biometric feedback enables users to optimise their training, safely push their limitations and accurately measure their progress. "We have worked for over three years to develop the ultimate sports earbuds," stated Vijay Sharma, General Manager of Sennheiser Consumer Business in India. "MOMENTUM Sport elevates earbuds from a basic exercise accessory to the heartbeat of your workout—quite literally." 

This gadget, which includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor and a body temperature sensor, sends essential data to popular fitness applications and devices. The earphones can measure heart rate from 30 to 220 beats per minute and body temperature with an accuracy of +/- 0.3 degrees Celsius, preventing users from becoming fatigued due to heat. 

The earbuds also have three-axis accelerometers, capacitive touch and infrared sensors, which let users to control audio playing and call functions with simple finger tap motions. Even with gloves on, a double touch on the face can interrupt a track. The earphones' heart rate data is effortlessly integrated with popular sports devices and applications, including Apple Watch/Health, Garmin Watch/Connect and Strava. 

Users will now get access to Polar's premier biosensing capabilities and data analytics ecosystem via the Polar Flow training app. This includes performance monitoring, training data, intelligent coaching and voice guiding. The earphones also allow you to broadcast real-time performance tracking data straight to your Polar Vantage V3 multisport watch. 

Acoustically, these earbuds include a new 10mm transducer that provides superior sound and bass, as claimed by the brand. The semi-open design promotes natural environmental awareness, while the Transparency mode, Anti-wind mode and Adaptive Noise Cancelling mode let users to adapt to changing conditions. The earbuds connect via Bluetooth 5.2 and feature the aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC codecs.

The earbuds are IP55 rated for durability, which includes sweat and water resistance, a shock-proof chassis and clog-resistant ear tips. The earbuds also come with a variety of adjustable ear fins and tips. The gadget has a playing time of up to 6 hours and the supplied IP54-rated carrying case allows for three more recharges for a total of 24 hours. A fast 10-minute charge via USB will offer up to an hour of music.

The MOMENTUM Sport earbuds will be available in three colours- Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite, with a price of Rs 27990. They will be available on Sennheiser's official website, Amazon.in and Flipkart beginning 15 July 2024 at 12 noon, with a two-year guarantee.
