Every company has a set of ideologies they abide by. Trailblazers’ vision is to be one of the biggest players in the public relations (PR) and marketing industry for the food and beverage, and fashion sectors. For now, its mission is as simple as providing the kind of service that allows is to retain its client portfolio. ‘Happy clients’ as the agency’s founder and proprietor, Khyati Minglani, puts it.
As a mass communication graduate, Minglani got placed in the sector and was pursuing her employment. It was only while she was on the job that she realised that work in reality is different from the theories one is taught. “The lack of being able to experiment or initiate projects which happen to change the world for roughly about two years was enough to push me through the concept of starting my own venture,” she says.
The Entrepreneurial Journey
Like any other entrepreneurial journey, the initial pain points for her were to convince people in the market as a newcomer and win clients. “The tedious process of proving self-competency, building a team which can work towards the vision and also to convince my family about starting a new venture in PR, which still is considered budding in most instance, were some of the other challenges,” Minglani adds.
For now, Minglani has taken the everyday wins to keep her company, and her entrepreneurial dream, going. “I’d like to believe handling an elaborate family, which also includes my role as mother to a newborn along with a team of professionals and services to be delivered on time to the clients, in itself is an achievement of sorts. I firmly believe retaining clients for so long has been also an achievement. My clientele has only increased with the years,” she divulges.
Trailblazers competes in a very competitive market. With new restaurants coming up every now and then, the line of differentiation is thinning. Minglani is of the opinion that her biggest strength is in her team. She observes, “The ideal scenario of PR is when the work is done in a continuous flow without hinderances. And with a team that is ever so supportive, I believe the major thing that has been incorporated is to keep a free work culture. The team works beyond ideal work hours. That is how we achieve the quality work that we deliver.”
