Nokia 6.1 With 4GB RAM Launched In India; Sale Starts From May 13 Through Amazon

HMD Global recently launched Nokia 6 (2018) along with Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 1 in India. Now company is making the 4GB RAM variant of Nokia 6 available through Amazon, which is already listed on Amazon’s website. Nokia has given the new 4GB RAM variant a new moniker, it is called Nokia 6.1.

Nokia 6.1 is priced at Rs 18,999 and will go on sale starting from May 13.

The only difference between Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 6.1 is among their RAM and Storage. Nokia 6 has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage whereas, Nokia 6.1 will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Talking about launch offers, Airtel is offering cashback of Rs 2,000, Airtel customers will also get extended free subscription of Airtel TV app till 31 December 2018. Buyers will also get flat 25 percent instant discount on domestic hotel bookings through Makemytrip. There is also No Cost EMIs for up to 12 months.

Just like the Nokia 6 (2018), this device might be available in three color options- black/copper, white/iron, and blue/gold.

Nokia 6.1 Specifications

The new Nokia 6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is the part of Google's Android One program which means the handset will get OS updates for next two years.

Nokia 6.1 is powered by and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.

The last year's Nokia 6 had Snapdragon 430 processor, Nokia claims that just like the new Nokia 6, this handset is also 60 percent faster than its predecessor. It has 64GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB through a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

Nokia 6.1 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080) IPS display with traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. It sports a 16-megapixels rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and dual tone LED Flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. There is also a rear mounted fingerprint sensor with which users will be able to unlock the device.

Nokia 6.1 is backed by a non-removable 3000mAh which supports fast charging and can deliver up to 16 hours of talktime. Connectivity options includes- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS.  It measures 148.8 x 75.8 x 8.15mm.
