NHPC To Develop 10 GW Green Energy Parks In Rajasthan

NHPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajasthan government to develop 10GW renewable energy plant. NHPC Renewable Energy Limited (NHPC REL) will develop the ultra mega renewable energy power parks (UMREPP). 

In July 2022, the Rajasthan government had also signed an MoU with NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NREL), an arm of NTPC Ltd, to develop 10 GW-ultra mega renewable energy power parks in the state. Earlier, NHPC announced they will develop a power plant left by China in Nepal.
