On the company’s relevance a decade from now: We, at niki.ai, have built an AI-based chatbot where one can transact for various services ranging from bill payments to travel-related bookings and more. We are super excited about the voice-recognition feature, topped with multilingual support, which is already in the making. The whole idea behind the product is to be relevant. Relevant to the masses who have not come online yet, but can easily talk or chat and get things done. Relevant to those of us who have fiddled with many software applications, but are yet to find the one that truly works without multiple hurdles between exploring to choosing to buying. We totally believe in the power that conversational interfaces hold, owing to the ever-changing buttons and fields, multiple hops for various stages in the product buying cycle, and the ability to be natural to everyone. So yes, conversational interfaces and AI-based bots are definitely going to be more relevant than the counterparts 10 years down the line.
On the future of the business: I think the base of the business that we are in, is the future. Being an AI company, we believe in the true potential of AI to impact lives of billions in more ways than those explored yet. Therefore, we are constantly working on the product to solve more of the complicated problem, investing a lot in R&D, experimenting, learning and redoing. Niki, our bot, has evolved from being able to support just recharges, to 20+ services now varying across commerce use cases to insurance, stock broking and more. There is still a lot being done, a lot to do and learn. So yes, we are consistently evolving rapidly as a product and as a company in whole.
On the importance of AI and blockchain to the business: AI, essentially, lies at the core of our product. It is a completely automated chatbot which learns about you, gives personalised recommendations and helps you get online transactions done on sending a simple text. The bot evolves with each conversation a user has with it.
