Global startup challenge roadshow, AP $1 Million Global Challenge today held its London event at Visa Innovation Center. More than 150 startups applied for the challenge and went through a screening process.
“London is the epi-center of innovation in Europe across sectors and have a deeper understanding of the Indian market; the AP Govt will be working with these startups in a collaborative manner to ensure Indian Digital Transformation benefits from innovative global solutions”, said Mr. JA Chowdary, Special Chief Secretary and IT Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The AP $1 Million startup challenge delegation included Mr JA Chowdary, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Dharmendra Sunkara, CEO of AP FinTech Valley, Lakshmi Potluri, CEO of DCF Ventures and Jason Weiss, Axis Innovations.
The 6 start-ups short-listed as the top qualifiers were Orbo, AssetVault, Zasti, SmartFertilizer, Desolenator, Brainpool.
Judges included prominent members of the London startup ecosystem as well as the corporates – Mark Pettit, Executive Director, Partnerships and Venture, Visa, Alison Fowler, Mobility Director, Ford and Endre Sagi, Principal, C5 Capital to name a few.
