LIC Hands Over Rs 2,441 Cr Dividend Cheque To Sitharaman

On Friday, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) paid a dividend of Rs 2,441 crore to the government. The cheque was presented to the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, by LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty and witnessed by Financial Services Secretary Vivek Joshi. The finance minister's office posted on X, "Smt @nsitharaman receives a dividend cheque of Rs 2,441.44 crore from Shri Siddhartha Mohanty, Chairman - Life Insurance Corporation of India (@LICIndiaForever)." The cheque was handed over to the finance minister in the presence of Financial Services Secretary Vivek Joshi.
