Following the appointment of Ashok Vaswani as MD & CEO, Kotak Mahindra Bank continues to augment its team with Anupam Kaura as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Kaura brings his expertise from CRISIL, London, having held the position of Global CHRO.
The bank's recent strategy involves hiring various global and local professionals specialising in technology, customer experience, marketing, data and risk analytics. Vaswani, the new CEO, adds to this trend with his extensive experience in major firms like Citigroup, Barclays and his recent role at Pagaya Technologies, focused on artificial intelligence.
Uday Kotak, the bank's founder transitioning to a non-executive role, actively shapes this new team. Their objective is to revolutionise banking with an Amazon-like experience, prioritise employee satisfaction and boost productivity.
Notably, key members of this team were brought in during Uday Kotak's tenure. Bhavnish Lathia, an Amazon veteran, joined as Chief of Customer Experience & Head of Technology. Milind Nagnur, previously with JP Morgan and Citibank, followed a similar path, joining from Early Warning Services in the US. Rohit Bhasin, a Unilever veteran, came aboard as Head of Retail Liabilities Product and Chief Marketing Officer after transforming the Ponds brand in Singapore. Additionally, Bhaskar Kumar, known for his roles at Bajaj Finserv, HSBC, and GE Capital, assumed the position of Head of Retail & Commercial Risk in April last year.
