Indian smartphone brand Karbonn has launched their new budget smartphone Frames S9 in India. Priced at Rs 6,790, Karbonn Frames S9 is available through Flipkart, Amazon, and other offline stores across India. The handset comes in three body shades- black, champagne, and grey.
The handset comes bundled with a cashback offer of Rs 2,000. To claim the first cashback installment of Rs 500, customers need to make recharges worth Rs 3,500 within the first 18 months. To claim the second cashback installment of Rs 1,500, customers need to make recharges worth Rs 3,500 over the next 18 months.
Airtel has also introduced a special offer of Rs 169 on the smartphone with which customers can enjoy unlimited local and STD voice calls along with 1GB of 3G/4G data for a period of 28 days.
Karbonn Frames S9 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with customized user interface on top. It is powered by a 1.25GHz quad core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB through a MicroSD card.
Frames S9 has a 5.2-inch HD (1280x720) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and full glass lamination for protection. It sports a dual front camera setup which includes two 8-megapixel sensors. On the rear is an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bokeh mode, Voice-capture, Panoramic view and Time lapse.
The dual SIM Karbonn Frames S9 is backed by a 2,900mAh battery which the company claims can deliver talk time of up to 10 hours on 3G/4G. The handset also houses a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB, OTG support, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone-jack, and GPS. It measures 148.4 x 72 x 7.85mm and weighs 139 grams.
