In a recent interview with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show, John Abraham spoke about his experiences working with Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan in Bollywood as well as discussing the new emerging personality of digital education cum social commentary by YouTuber Nitish Rajput.
John mused over his association with Aditya Chopra, the head of Yash Raj Films. The actor said Aditya was a visionary but hard taskmaster, one who took immense pains to get every project right. In fact, though, it appears that the industry woes are not going to dampen John's spirit as he shared here on Saturday how even in 2023 his film Pathaan was being shown exclusively for Shah Rukh Khan before releasing because Chopra shares a close bond with SRK and wants him to experience truly cinematic moments. John told us that Aditya is one of those rare individuals who upholds nothing but excellence in what he does and that passion drives him to set new benchmarks with each film.
Talking about his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, John said that they had a great camaraderie while shooting for Pathaan. And also told how despite being SRK he is so humble and approachable, making it a great working atmosphere for collaborating on Pathaan. They were both locked into figuring out how this was going to work, which made their bond on and off the set stronger.
Asked about YouTuber Nitish Rajput in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, John Abraham gushed, "Yeah I love him and his content." John emphasised that Nitish "always tries" to bring news from trusted sources, saying he is a "YouTuber in the middle," who refrains from showing bias. He eulogised Nitish for simplifying the jargon-laden subjects well and establishing an army of fans around him. John added, “I want to meet him and chill with him because he is so smart. I like being around really intelligent people.”
By acknowledging Nitish’s unbiased approach and intellectual depth, John not only recognises the value of traditional cinema but also embraces the impact of digital content creators who are shaping public discourse. This merging of Bollywood's established giants with rising digital stars points to a new era where both industries coexist and influence one another.
