Jeh Aerospace, a startup specialising in aerospace and defence manufacturing, unveiled a state-of-the-art facility that spans up to 1.60 lakh sq. ft. on Tuesday. The inauguration ceremony, presided over by D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Industries and IT, showcased the company's commitment to delivering cutting-edge manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defence sector.
Jeh Aerospace stated its intention to leverage contemporary digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, positioning itself in competition with established aerospace and defence manufacturing centres in the United States (U.S.) and Western Europe. Minister Babu commended the founders for their dedication in creating a facility that harnesses India's full potential in aerospace and defence manufacturing.
Emphasising the government's steadfast support for disruptive technologies, especially in information technology (IT) and crucial defence components, Minister Babu expressed confidence that the facility would not only significantly contribute to the economic growth of Telangana but also generate numerous employment opportunities.
Recently securing USD 2.75 million in seed funding from global venture capital (VC) firm General Catalyst, along with support from aerospace industry veterans such as former Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar and former CEO and MD of Airbus India Srinivasan Dwarakanath, Jeh Aerospace plans to utilise the funds to develop infrastructure, fuel growth, and assemble a world-class team.
During the facility's launch, co-founders Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla highlighted that the opening marked the beginning of a collective journey to redefine the aerospace manufacturing landscape.
Jayesh Ranjan, Industries and IT Secretary, commended Jeh Aerospace's focus on critical accessories and components, addressing a pressing need in the industry. This strategic approach aims to solve challenges faced by larger players and mitigate delivery delays that have economic implications.
