Ivanka went to the elite Chapin School in Manhattan before shifting to Connecticut in a boarding school. She told to Marie Claire in 2007, "I was all of a sudden in the prison of boarding-school life, and all my friends in New York were having fun". She chose modelling as an escape from the bars. The modelling was not a career choice as it ended within a short span of time.
