Intel Appoints Santhosh Viswanathan As Head Of Newly Formed India Region

Intel on Saturday said it had made significant changes in its organisational restructuring, particularly in its Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group (SMG), with a spotlight on India. The tech giant revealed the appointment of Santhosh Viswanathan as the Vice President and Managing Director of the newly formed India region within the SMG organisation.

This strategic decision to establish India as a separate region within Intel's SMG shows the country's burgeoning growth and expansive business prospects. With this move, Intel aims to capitalise on the rapid development and promising opportunities prevalent in the Indian market.

The creation of the India region within Intel's SMG organisation signifies a concerted effort to tailor the company's operations to suit the unique dynamics of the Indian market. By appointing Viswanathan to this pivotal position, Intel seeks to enhance its responsiveness and efficacy in addressing the evolving needs and challenges specific to India.

In addition to the appointment of Santhosh Viswanathan as the head of the India region, Intel also announced the appointment of Hans Chuang as the General Manager of the Sales, Marketing and Communications Group (SMG) for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

Based out of Taiwan, Hans Chuang will oversee Intel's overall business in the APJ region, with responsibilities including driving revenue growth, enabling engagement with the local ecosystem to create new opportunities and strengthening existing customer and partner relationships.
