Wind energy solution provider, Inox Wind has bagged an order from Adani Green Energy to develop a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat. The project is scheduled to be executed over the next 6-9 months and will be done on turnkey basis.
“The company has closed a deal for developing a 100 MW wind power project for Adani Green Energy, a part of the Adani group at Kutch in Gujarat,” the wind turbine maker said in a regulatory filing today (30 August).
The capacity was won under round 1 of SECI bids for wind power projects connected on the central grid. Inox Wind said as part of the order it will supply, erect and commission 50 units of its 2 MW wind turbine generators. As a part of the turnkey order, Inox Wind will be responsible from development and construction to commissioning and will provide long term operations and maintenance services.
“Inox Wind would be a major beneficiary in the auction based market regime, due to its inherent cost competitive advantage and the upcoming SECI and state auctions will begin a new phase of robust growth for the wind industry, critical for reaching the 60 GW wind power capacity goal by 2022 for the country,” said Kailash Tarachandani, Chief Executive Officer, Inox Wind Ltd.
The stock of Inox Wind traded in positive territory gaining over 3 per cent at 136.70 per share on BSE. The stock on NSE attracted a total traded volume of 5,199 shares and a traded value of Rs 7.03 lakh.
