Huawei P20 Pro, P20 Lite Goes On Sale In India: Price, Specifications, And Launch Offers

Huawei’s latest smartphone P20 Pro and P20 lite are now available for sale in India. Both handsets will be exclusively available through Amazon, starting today (May 3). P20 Pro is priced at Rs 64,999 while the P20 lite at Rs 19,999.

P20 Pro launch offers include Rs 5,000 instant discount on Axis Bank credit & debit cards, extra Rs 6,000 off on exchange. P20 lite launch offers include Rs 1,500 instant discount on Axis Bank credit & debit cards, extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange.

On purchasing either of the P20 Pro and P20 lite, Vodafone customers can avail 100GB free data for a period of 10 months. Also, No Cost EMIs are available for up to 12 months.

Huawei P20 Pro Specifications

P20 Pro runs on EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 970 octa-core processor with dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) which enables AI capabilities.

It has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable through a hybrid SIM/memory card slot.

P20 Pro features a larger 6.1-inch FHD+ (2244x1080) AMOLED FullView display. Huawei has also adopted the “notch” on its display which houses a selfie camera and an earpiece.

The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge fast charging. There is also a fingerprint sensor below the screen with which the phone can be unlocked. The handset is also IP67 rated water and dust resistant.

Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, NFC, and Location. It is available in graphite black and midnight blue colours

P20 Pro’s Camera is something through which Huawei has amazed the smartphone market. P20 Pro sports Leica-branded tri-lens camera setup at the back with one RGB, monochrome, and a Telephoto lens.  

DxO Mark has given P20 Pro a rating of 109 points making it the “best camera smartphone”, which means P20 Pro’s camera is better than Samsung Galaxy S9, iPhone X or Google Pixel 2.

The telephoto lens have optical image stabilisation while other lenses have Huawei’s AI-based stabilisation which works on the basis of object identification, outlines of the shapes and ensures that it stays consistent while shooting. It also have 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom.

The camera has light sensitivity of 102400- which means it performs astonishingly under low-light conditions.

On the front is a 24-megapixel selfie-snapper with f/2.0 aperture. Also, there’s face unlocking feature which uses the phone’s front camera.

Huawei P20 lite Specifications

Huawei P20 lite runs on EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by Huawei Kirin 659- an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.36GHz and other four at 1.7GHz. The handset has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.

Huawei P20 lite features a 5.83-inch FHD+ (2280x1080) FullView display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch at the top. It sports a dual camera setup at the back with 16-megapixel+2-megapixel sensors, LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. One the front is a 24-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, for security the phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. Connectivity options include- Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Location, and USB Type-C. It measures 148.6 x 71.2 x 7.4mm and weighs 145 grams. P20 lite is available in klein blue and midnight black colors.
