Huawei’s sub brand Honor is going to launch Honor 7X for the Indian market today (5 December). Honor will also launch their flagship smartphone Honor V10 at the event.
Honor 7X was launched in China last month at a price of CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 12,890) for 32GB, CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 16,850) for 64GB, and CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 19,820) for 128GB variant. However it is not clear that which variants will be launched in India.
Honor 7X is already available for pre-bookings on Amazon and it will go on sale from 7 December. Honor 7X runs runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It comes in three storage variants of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB; storage in all variants can be expanded up to 256GB through hybrid a dual SIM configuration.
The Honor smartphone features a 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It sports a dual camera setup with 16-MP+2-MP sensors, on the front is an 8-megapixel selfie-snapper.
It is backed by a 3,340mAh battery and has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor; connectivity options are – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, and GPS.
Honor V10
Talking about Honor V10, it is priced between CNY 2699 (roughly Rs 26,300) and CNY 3499 (roughly Rs 34,250).
Honor V10 runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by Huawei’s 2.36GHz HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor which also powers Huawei Mate 10. It comes in three RAM+Storage variants of either 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB+128GB.
The storage in all variants is expandable up to 256GB through hybrid dual-SIM configuration where second SIM slot doubles as a MicroSD card holder.
It features a 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160x1080) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It sports dual rear camera setup of 16-megapixel RGB sensor and 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with PDAF and LED flash. On the front is a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The dual-SIM Honor V10 is backed by a 3750mAh battery which the company claims give 23 hours of talktime. This phone also comes with face unlock feature with which you can unlock the device.
Huawei is also working on depth sensing camera which works like Apple’s Face ID and also has the Animoji feature. In the near future, Huawei phones will be coming with this feature.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio-jack, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. It measures 157 x 74.98 x 6.97mm and weighs 172 grams.
