Tessolve, a Hero Electronix subsidiary specialising in semiconductor engineering, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Germany’s Dream Chip Technologies for up to Rs 400 crore (EUR 42.5 million). This acquisition is set to place Tessolve among an elite group of global firms capable of delivering end-to-end chip design solutions, targeting complex and high-demand sectors like artificial intelligence, automotive, data centres, and industrial systems.
By acquiring Dream Chip Technologies, Tessolve will enhance its foothold in Europe, adding four new operational sites across Germany and the Netherlands. These locations include an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and imaging centre, which will bolster Tessolve’s capabilities in specialised semiconductor and embedded design.
Dream Chip’s expertise in chip architecture and digital design will complement Tessolve’s own strengths in post-silicon testing and packaging, enabling the company to provide complete turnkey solutions from initial design specifications to volume production.
“This acquisition solidifies our position as a top tier semiconductor engineering firm globally with unmatched design to productisation capabilities,” said Srini Chinamilli, Co-founder & CEO of Tessolve.
“Dream Chip’s capabilities further strengthen our ability to take on leading edge ASIC design projects and greatly enhances our European footprint,” he added.
Dream Chip Technologies is renowned in Europe for its digital chip designs and brings a highly skilled team of engineers and architects who specialise in complex system-on-chip (SoC) design.
