Kids' Conclave is one of the flagship events in EO South Asia programming - One of its kind event for young kids to pick up the ropes of entrepreneurship. The EO event will be held at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Chennai from 12th August - 15th August 2016.
New Delhi: Kids from all over India will gear up to bring out their inner Heroes on August 12, for the Chennai chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO)-Kids' Conclave aptly titled "Heroism 2016 - Bring out the Hero in You". The Entrepreneurs' Organization is a global business network of 10,000+ leading entrepreneurs in 147 chapters and 48 countries.
Assuming that a Hero lurks inside each one of us and just awaits discovery and exploration, the event is designed 'by the children, for the children' under the suitable guidance of adults, participants, who will drive the show while learning from each other.
Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO enables business owners to learn from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life. We educate, we transform, we inspire and we offer invaluable resources in the form of global events, leadership-development programs, an online entrepreneur forum and executive education opportunities, among other offerings designed for personal and professional growth.
EO South Asia started in 1997 with a chapter in Mumbai and has now grown to 15 chapters and 1000+ members. Each member, by rule, is owner/founder/majority stakeholder of a business generating an earning of a minimum $1 million in the most recent fiscal year. EO SA has members from across industry sectors whose collective sales value is $87.6 billion.
Elaborating the unique nature of the event, Navneet Agarwal, Chair for the Kids Conclave, EO Chennai says, "We are expecting to see about 50 young heroes' participation from 14 different EO chapters from across India. We are excited to welcome the kids and instil the idea of 'Heroism' in them. This conclave will help our young heroes discover their real potential and hidden traits which are waiting to be recognized, refined and bettered. In continuance of the EO vision - "To build the world's most influential community of entrepreneurs", this conclave will motivate the elder kids to create an executable business plan to evolve into a profitable venture. "We want the young kids to understand that dedication and hard work are just a few vital ingredients that go into the making of a Hero."
The EO conclaves have traditionally been organized for established entrepreneurs and are by far the largest gatherings of highly successful entrepreneurs on one platform for exchanging of views and ideas.
The participants will be divided in two categories. The Organizers and the Innovators. The organisers will comprise the 8-12 year olds where the youngest Hero will set the pace of camp, who'll be given hands-on experiential exposure to activities like photography, creativity and production. Similarly, The Innovators will be from the age group 13-16 year old.
They will connect to ideate and create a realistic strategical business plan. This plan can go on to be nurtured into an actual for profit venture with the right support.
According to Vinod Krishnan, President EO Chennaichapter, "Our objective is to enable the participants to use this conclave as a stepping- stone for their future decision making abilities. The role each kid would take up will help them discover and explore what they are good at. It will give them a sense of achievement and confidence."
