Dell has a series of new products that were announced at the CES 2017. From 8K monitors to laptops and VR headsets, and editing screens for commercial purposes, Dell Technologies put the spotlight on devices that have helped companies in bringing better solutions to their everyday requirements.
At the first day of CES 2017, Dell brought on stage the electronic music band, The Glitch Mob, who shared their experience in using Dell technologies in their line of work. The stage was taken by Avid's Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez Jr who highlighted the role that Dell Canvas, a smart workspace with QHD screen targeted at creative professionals, which is akin a digital drafting table, which has the surface studio without the PC. Powered by Windows 10, the Dell Canvas plugs in to software features such as Adobe, Autodesk, AVID, Dassault systems, SolidWorks and Microsoft.
Perhaps the most fun highlight of the press conference was an appearance by Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker in the new Marvel's Spiderman movie. While promoting the movie, slated to release later in the year, Holland spoke about the Dell Inspiron 15 used in the move to power the Spiderman suit and also spoke about Dell XPS 2-in-1. The 2-in-1 XPS 13 convertible model has a 360 degree hinge so that consumers can use it as a laptop or flip the display to use it as a tablet. Dell claims it offers up to 15 hours of battery life. Some of the key elements of the new XPS series device are QHD+ InfinityEdge touch screen and 7th generation Intel core vPro processor and Dell BIOS software.
Apart from the Dell Canvas and the 2-in-1 XPS, the range of new products from Dell, all powered by Windows 10, include Precision all-in-one devices, Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K monitor and Dell 27 Ultrathin monitor, a VR ready mobile workstation, the new Inspiron gaming line and the Latitude 7285 2-in-1.
Dell's Precision 7720 is the company's first VR-ready mobile workstation designed for VR content creation. Very much like all Dell Precision series, the Precision 7720 is also designed to work with the latest software suites.
Among its most appreciated products at CES 2017 was also the 8K screen. While most of these products will be available in the North America and other markets in the year, the dates for launch in India are still being worked on.
