Ever since the Taliban retook Afghanistan last month, many Afghan nationals and foreigners flew the country. Amidst this, many social workers and organisations have come forward to help the refugees. Rohit Khosla is voluntarily working towards helping thousands of refugees who had to leave their home country. It was on August 15 that Kabul fell to the Taliban, and since then the country has had to undergo major changes.
Going out of the way, social worker and entrepreneur Rohit Khosla is making sure to help the Afghan refugees in the best way possible. Be it monetary help or providing temporary shelter and accommodation facilities, Mr. Khosla is leaving no stone unturned to extend his support in this crises. The young and dynamic man got in touch with the refugees who had earlier flown to New Delhi legally.
Moreover, Rohit Khosla and his team built camps for refugees who flew from Afghanistan. As per the news, it is believed that there is no prospering future for women under the Taliban. For the same, many women have joined protests against the Taliban rule on the streets of Kabul. Looking at these unfortunate incidents, Rohit Khosla feels that the opinions and basic human rights of people should not be snatched away at any cost.
As many refugees have flown from Afghanistan in the past, Mr. Khosla and the team ensured building 500 tents for them. Along with this, the social entrepreneur donated free meals for all the refugees. “We are living in a world where humankind needs love and not war. The globe is already tackling the deadly coronavirus. Rather than creating differences among humans, love and peace are what humankind needs right now”, quoted Mr. Khosla.
Apart from helping the refugees, the social entrepreneur visited and met the refugees. He said, “Medical and routine health check-ups are being done. This is the time to stay united and not create animosity.” On the professional front, Rohit Khosla is an Oxford graduate and runs an array of businesses that have its operations in many countries of the world.
