Cashfree Payments Collaborates With NPCI To Introduce Customer On-boarding Feature

Cashfree Payments has unveiled 'AutoPay on QR' in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

This tool streamlines customer onboarding by employing a two-step process. It involves scanning a QR code and authorising an e-mandate through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) applications, all accomplished within a mere 30 seconds.

The company said that the new feature eradicates the need for app downloads or website registrations. Instead, it directly initiates a unique subscription for each customer, enhancing convenience and expediency. This development is poised to augment customer acquisition, retention, and overall growth, particularly benefiting subscription-based businesses.

NPCI also introduced a suite of additional features for UPI including a credit line option, a conversational payment mode 'Hello UPI', BillPay Connect, UPI Tap & Pay and UPI Lite X.
