Security is of paramount importance across all walks of life. Nowadays people voice their fear about their safety openly, as per the current terror scenarios, the most recent being the Uri attacks. The IP- based surveillance systems are, however, expected to grow with a relatively higher CAGR of 41.78 per cent in the coming years.

As claimed by Global Terrorism Report 2015, India is among the top ten most dangerous countries to live in. The Institute of Economics and Peace states that deaths from terrorism increased by 80 per cent last year worldwide. Terrorist activities reached its highest recorded level in 2014 with nearly 32,685 deaths as shown by studies conducted by Global Terrorism Index.
There is an immense need for smart, modernised, and sophisticated security solutions in IP-based surveillance systems to meet the shortage of intelligent equipment to shield assets and lives. The CCTV’s should fit the appropriateness of the problem it is intended to address. It must focus on the core technology to respond to established security solution objectives.
