AI unicorn Krutrim plans to open its in-house cloud infrastructure in the coming week to developers across India. This initiative was shared by the company’s founder Bhavish Aggarwal on Thursday.
Aggarwal highlighted this project in a LinkedIn post and urged developers to reach out for the interesting opportunity. He revealed that Krutrim runs on the company’s AI cloud base, which is developed in India and urged developers to share their AI use cases.
His post suggested that Krutrim aims to bypass international cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft's Azure.
Krutrim, a part of the Ola group, is focused on creating the AI computing stack of the future. The company claims to deliver a state-of-the-art AI computing stack that encompasses the AI computing infrastructure, AI Cloud, foundational models and AI-powered end applications for the Indian market.
Aggarwal's post gained rapid attention, with users expressing their passion for his remarkable projects. Developers are particularly interested in this initiative as they perceive it as a solution for their data expenses and power parity.
One of the developers, on the platform said, “Great initiative, Sir! Opening up your AI cloud for developers will surely inspire innovation and collaboration in the AI community. Looking forward to seeing the amazing projects that will come out of this opportunity."
Aggarwal's call was directed towards developers, yet numerous AI enthusiasts are eager to participate in his project, seeking to advance their AI pursuits.
Recently, Aggarwal also revealed that the Krutrim has experienced significant enhancements. He highlighted the app's remarkable decrease in TTFT (Time it takes to generate the first word of response) from 22 seconds during its launch to a mere 0.3 seconds at present. While expressing his disappointment with the initial slow speed, he reassured that the chatbot will greatly improve its performance in the upcoming years.
