What makes you a visionary entrepreneur?
As an entrepreneur, I would define myself as a problem solver, identifying people’s issues and offering solutions that create a better environment for the progress of the business as well as improve the quality of life for the person hiring my services.
What is the driving force behind your success?
The primary thing that drives any aspiring entrepreneur to succeed is the approach has to be action-oriented, if things remain on paper, they will never lead to success. Two, I like my work. Three, I’ve made mistakes, wrong decisions. However, after the initial disappointment of failure has settled down, I’ve taken time out to analyze the reason for failure and have taken home a lesson from the mistake. So the three things that drive me are my practical approach, love for my work, & learning from my mistakes.
How do you think entrepreneurship in general is keeping up with these industry trends?
Industry trends keep changing and I am not a magician so I can’t predict what is going to happen in the future. However, with experience, I have so far been able to gauge when the market is evolving and tweak my business plans a little here and there for them to sync with the change. My take on this is that the more we know about market trends, the better we can take advantage of and get a head start on our competition.
What do you define as your leadership mantra being an entrepreneur at such a young age?
I would observe my seniors pursuing graduation or PG who often seemed lost. It really confused me to see them where they were, even after studying for so many years! I understood that success will elude us without inculcating X factor in our personality. So from an early age, I began to experiment, deal with success and failure, pushed my limits, and learned lessons beyond books. In the process, I became a doer (not just a thinker), and steadily acquired leadership skills. My leadership mantra is also, “take off blinkers, start experimenting early, start where you are, it is never too late”.
What is your vision ahead moving forward?
My vision is to influence students and individuals looking for jobs to encourage them to inculcate a vision that will give their future a proper direction. I see it is that I want to reach out to young individuals pursuing graduation and in an early stage of employment or entrepreneurship and encourage and convince them that this is the best time to also instill employability skills so that by the time they pass out from college they are ready for a good and solid career. I want to add value to the lives of people looking for a successful career. I want to drive them away from disillusions like passing semesters with good scores is all that you need, or doing projects on time and regular attendance. I want to tell them that these are indeed important and should be your priority but you have to make time for investing in learning skills that will help you find great careers in life.
What has been your driving motto behind establishing yourself in the industry?
My motto has been to prove myself, to display my competence by creating highly customized training programs that will enhance the value of an individual in the job or career market. No matter which industry she or he belongs to, my training should imprint lessons so valuable in his/her personality that they will stay with the individual and come in handy at every stage of one’s career. Failure or success at this stage of life is not so important, but the experience you gain from it is sure to take you far!
What do you consider as your biggest achievement on your journey so far?
My biggest achievement till date is that I never saw myself in the rat race and I am not! I wanted to carve a niche for myself, for which I trod on the path less traveled. It wasn’t easy but my conviction was strong and clear. All my hard work has paid off and I am in a happy space right now.
Having a great amount of experience, skill, and understanding the people, their requirements are some of the ways Shivam Joshi has broken into the system of success.
