Indkal Technologies has declared its debut into the smartphone industry through a trademark licencing arrangement with Acer. Acer has partnered with Indkal to develop, produce and market Acer-branded smartphones in India.
The strategic relationship signals the entrance of Acer-branded smartphones into the Indian market, with a mid-2024 launch date. Indkal Technologies intends to offer a diverse selection of models, with the goal of fast capturing a considerable market share. This relationship builds on Acer's existing brand image and Indkal's commitment to provide high-quality products to Indian consumers.
Anand Dubey, CEO of Indkal Technologies, expressed excitement for the launch, noting that Acer smartphones, developed over several years, will provide Indian consumers with well-designed devices with fast CPUs, excellent camera technology and premium features, all manufactured in India.
