Unlocking the 3D World: Point Clouds Transforming Digital Replication
A point cloud is a 3D representation via points in space, each defined by x, y, and z coordinates, which is crucial for intricate shapes and forming meshes for digital applications. It played a vital role in understanding complex 3D structures. It can be classified using AI or non-AI methods to impart intelligence, creating distinct digital entities. It addressed urban landscape challenges like infrastructure and traffic management with the creation of digital twins and showcased the broader potential of digital twins. This viewpoint extended beyond the mere mapping of streets, delving into the thorough mapping of entire cities with collaborative efforts with strategic partners.
