Edtech Startup Camp K12 Sacks 70% Of Its Workforce

As the funding winter continues, edtech startup Camp K12, reportedly, lays off 70 per cent employees of its workforce. According to the media reports, the edtech firm refused to pay dues of impacted staff.

Founded in 2010 by Anshul Bhagi, Camp K12 connects students from kindergarten to 12th grade and providing access to teachers for interactive, gamified, and live-learning courses for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) subjects.

In 2023, edtech startups including unicorns have laid off a large pie of their workforce. For the context of the development, in January this year, edtech startup Unacademy also laid off 20 per cent of employees from its subsidiary, Relevel.

Furthermore, earlier this month, edtech unicorn BYJU’S reduced its headcount by eliminating around 900-1,000 jobs from across teams and job functions, according to the media reports.
