SIP allows you to invest a fixed amount at regular intervals and hence is similar to a regular investment scheme. It inculcates the habit and discipline of regular savings. So the more frequent the interval of your SIP, the better your chances of buying units when prices are low and one can always increase the amount whenever possible.
