A high-level ministerial delegation from Guyana visited India, in a move anticipated to improve bilateral relations between the two countries in January. The delegation discussed in detail on the future prospects of Indo-Guyana relationships with BW Businessworld. Three MoU’s were signed on Co-operation in Renewable Energy, Cultural Exchange Programme and framework agreement on International Solar Alliance. Guyana was one of the 23 countries to have ratified the ISA (International Solar Alliance). BW Businessworld talks to David Pollard, the High Commissioner of Guyana to India, who talks at length about the future prospects of Indo-Guyana relations, the way forward and Guyana’s participation in the ISA. Bilateral trade between India and Guyana was US$ 34.71 m for 2014-15.
