In this episode of Mutual Fund Corner, we talk about how mutual funds are taxed. For equity funds the tax effect has been classified into two naming Long term Capital Gains tax and short term capital gains tax. Simply saying, if you hold an equity for more than 12 months it is called long term holding and anything less than 12 months will be classified as short term holding.
