Mr. Malik talked about the state of healthcare industry in India. He focused on how the rate of the growth in the industry had been surpassing the growth of economy and is set of rise even further.
He mentioned that in India, unlike in countries like China, private sector plays a major role shaping up the healthcare infrastructure in the country. According to Mr. Malik, this trend is set to stay as tertiary and secondary healthcare will be majorly driven by Private players in the coming days too. The factors he identified as triggers of growth include insurance, aging population, increase of lifestyle disorders etc.
