Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, on the launch of Startup India Hub in the presence of Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, DIPP.
Speaking at the event, she talked about the ongoing discussions with Germany on creating an exchange programme for the startups of both the countries.
“We are currently working on the modalities of how Indian startups can exchange ideas with German startups,” she said.
The minister also shared future plans of organising a startup summit for SAARC countries in order to facilitate dialogue and communication. “We are looking at organising a SAARC countries’ meet for startups, where mutually beneficial ideas for innovation can be worked out,” Sitharaman said.
