Google is set to start production of the Pixel 8A in India, following its recent launch. While the Pixel 9 series won’t be made in India just yet, Google’s strategy mirrors Apple’s approach to local manufacturing. With only 0.5 per cent of the Indian smartphone market, Google is aiming to boost its presence through expanded production, enhanced after-sales service, and increased offline availability in partnership with Reliance Digital and Croma.
