Suzlon Group has clinched a contract from the KP Group to spearhead the development of a 193.2 MW wind energy project in Gujarat.
Suzlon Group is set to supply 92 units of its cutting-edge S120 - 2.1 MW Wind Turbine Generators, featuring a 140m Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower. The project, strategically located in Vagra and Vilayat within Bharuch district, aims to harness the region's potent wind resources for clean and sustainable power generation.
The scope of Suzlon's involvement encompasses supply, supervision, and commissioning of the wind power project. Beyond the initial implementation phase, the company will also take charge of post-commissioning operation and maintenance services, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of the renewable energy infrastructure.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, lauded the conducive policy environment fostered by Gujarat, characterizing the KP Group's contract as a testament to corporate India's commitment to forging a sustainable future. With the potential to provide electricity to 1.25 lakh households, the project is poised to make a substantial impact by curbing approximately 4.96 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
