On the first day of the new year, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) implemented changes in the prices of 19 kg Commercial LPG cylinders and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). However, there are no alterations in the prices of Domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinders used in households.
According to IOC, the revised prices for 19 kg Commercial LPG cylinders came into effect from today, marking a slight decline in various cities across India. In Delhi, the price has been adjusted to Rs 1755.50, down from Rs 1757. Mumbai witnesses a decrease from Rs 1710 to Rs 1708.50. In Chennai, the price has been revised from Rs 1929 to Rs 1924.50, while in Kolkata, the new price is Rs 1869, a marginal increase from Rs 1868.50.
This adjustment in commercial gas cylinder prices aims to balance the market dynamics and provide relief to commercial consumers.
Simultaneously, as part of its new year adjustments, IOCL has implemented changes in the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) used in airplanes.
Effective from 1 January 2024, the updated ATF prices are as follows: In Delhi, the new rate stands at Rs 1,01,993.17 per kilolitre, while in Kolkata, it has been adjusted to Rs 1,10,962.83 per kilolitre. Mumbai witnesses a revised price of Rs 95,372.43 per kilolitre, and in Chennai, the updated cost is Rs 1,06,042.99 per kilolitre.
These adjustments in ATF prices are tailored to meet the specific needs of the aviation industry and are reflective of the prevailing market conditions, ensuring a dynamic and responsive approach to fuel pricing in this sector.
Despite the changes in commercial and aviation fuel prices, there have been no modifications in the prices of 14.2 kg Domestic LPG cylinders. The last revision for these cylinders occurred on August 30, 2023.
