Cabinet Nod To International Status, Renaming Maharishi Valmiki Intl Airport For Ayodhya Airport

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal to declare Ayodhya Airport as an International Airport and naming it as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham. 

The airport will now be known as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham.

This decision is a monumental step toward harnessing Ayodhya's cultural and economic richness, positioning it as a global destination for pilgrims and tourists alike. By elevating Ayodhya Airport to international status, the government aims to facilitate smoother access for foreign visitors, bolstering tourism and trade in the region.

The renaming of the airport, "Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham," is a tribute to Maharishi Valmiki, the revered sage credited with composing the epic Ramayana. This nomenclature adds a profound cultural touch to the airport's identity, reflecting the city's deep-rooted historical and spiritual heritage.
